I'm a little late to the party on this one but SM Entertainment has finally debuted their first new girl group since Red Velvet back in 2014. The group is called aespa which is kind of an interesting name. The concept is also a bit strange. I haven't really looked too much into it but it seems they have four member group that has an additional four virtual personas of those same girls or something along those lines. Kind of strange but I guess SM Entertainment is all about weird concepts like this.
Getting on with the song, Black Mamba, it's a bit of a darker concept then you might typically see from SM girl groups. I tend to think of SM groups as having a more lighter and upbeat tone. This song hits a bit different and has a nice girl crush sort of vibe. The group itself seems fairly good in visuals. Karina caught my eye for sure. Since I'm SM girl group trash, I'm probably going to end up really enjoying this group going forward. Can't wait to see their debut performances coming up and what they come out with in the years ahead!
